End of Year Update

I would like to thank everyone from our followers, employees, and customers for the fantastic year we've had. We have exceeded all expectations and I am sincerely grateful for everyone that has been apart of this experience. In 2020, we had over 1200 new customers, hired 8 full time employees, and delivered to 17 different states. There is no such thing as being "self-made", and we couldn't have gotten this far without the people that we've had the pleasure of meeting along the way.

By no means has it been easy. From 2AM nights, four day drives, 90 degree heat, and freezing cold we have tested ourselves physically and mentally. I wouldn't trade any of it for the world. I truly believe that there are few pursuits more rewarding than building a business from the ground up. Nothing of value has ever came easy, and like anything in life there have been ups and downs, but the experience has been priceless.

The ultimate goal for DHD is to be able to carry our product all over the United States, and in 2021 I expect to make a lot of progress towards achieving that goal. While we love the relationships we build delivering residentially, I believe we will have far greater reach and impact if we build a network of retail stores to carry our products. Throughout the winter months we are spending a lot of time looking for potential locations that would be a good fit for our product line. Local retailers have detailed knowledge of their respective markets that we do not have access to being a long-distance supplier. Another advantage of this shift in approach for our customers would be receiving our products faster and be able to see them in person before purchasing.

Not only do we look forward to cultivating more relationships over a larger service area, but we also are excited to begin implementing some new manufacturing techniques so that we can produce our highest quality products yet. Down Home Dexterities has embraced the idea of being a true "learning organization" that is committed to constant improvement and problem solving. If we become too comfortable with our operations, something is wrong.

Our business is unlike any other in the furniture industry, and we will continue to seek to provide an incredible customer experience by simply doing things that other companies would not even consider. When you're a small business with limited leverage, you can only do so many things to differentiate yourself from the crowd and great customer service is a no brainer. In order to promote our brand, we will continue to market online so that customers will have the opportunity to know where their furniture is coming from. It is important for us to show that we are real hardworking people who take a lot of pride in what we do.

Again, I thank everyone who has gotten us this far and we hope to continue sharing good news with you all as we move through 2021.
